To obtain service from LI-COR:

1. Call for an RMA (Return Materials Authorization) number

2. Fill out the Service Information Form (see link below) and include inside the LI-6400/6400XT case

3. Download important files and data from your /User disk; we normally do not delete files, but it is wise to only send files that you can afford to lose

4. Pack the LI-6400/6400XT:

• Close the chamber handle and tie with a cable tie to prevent bending the catch rod (be sure to adjust the tension so the foam gaskets are not compressed)
• Place the console in the case so the display is facing the case handle, and the console handle is facing downward into the case bottom
• Include: chemical tubes, CO₂ source assembly, cables, light source(s), other chambers to calibrate. Do not include anything else (batteries, communication cable, charger, extra chambers)
